I'll be home for Christmas...

Well have been home for a few hours now..., man I really have to go to the store! I have nothing in the cupboards, or the fridge..., I kinda feel a little like "Old Mother Hubbard"..., it's not a pleasant feeling.

Had a pretty good trip really, I always enjoy going home. Whoever it was that said "You can never go home again", obviously didn't have a home like mine. I mean forgetting about the "Creature Comforts" that home provides, I also have never felt, more loved, more comfortable, or more safe..., than when I am home.

What really makes me sad, is that so many  of us, just don't have that..., and I am not even talking just about the LGBT community here either. There are so many people out there, that will never truely feel the love, and comfort of a good family home. So for those of you out there, or just the ones that are interested..., I would like to share my family home with you....

A few sneaky pics I took...., just for you guys. It's an average sized three bedroom affair. Pretty standard, where I come from. But it's home..., complete with spa pool!

The next set of pics, is just for Daniel from "Up and About"..., because I know how much he gets off on trains! This is my 12yr old cousins new toy...

Funny thing really..., because his name is Daniel as well...., what are the odds of that? This little bad boy, is a fully working model of a steam train..., if you look closely, you can even see the whole boiler workings. Pretty cool for a midget..., I really quite like my little cousin..., in fact he would have to be one of my favourites.

Took my stepmum to see Avatar today..., to be honest, I am in two minds over this film. Yes it was well done, yest the story line was reminiscent of "The Battle of the Little Bighorn"..., but to be fair, was a little less than I was expecting. I guess I read to many reviews from you guys...., I kinda feel a little let down. Still had a great lunch, and then an even better shopping experience with the stepmother..., I love shopping with her.

Anyways..., ramble over...., back to work in four days..., whatever shall I get up to?

Wow! What an awesome train for a kid!

And, you have quite a lovely home. It looks very warm and comforting and well... home-y.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! Obviously I love the steam engine. The little oil lubricator is so cute... please tell your cousin I spent lot of time admiring his engine.
Just as your family home. I agree with you, there's no place like home. It's sad some ppl never will experience it.

So how was the spa? I guess that towel and cup (of tea?) was for you? ;) You definitely deserve it!!

Much Love
Daniel

Thanks for sharing those! I am sooooo jealous of your cousin! I want that train! I will have to put up some pictures of my trip to the railroad museum last spring or maybe just go back again in a few weekends! Are there pictures of you on that wall somewhere??? Should I zoom in really really close?

Your home looks so peaceful and welcoming!! It seems like the perfect place to go and recharge.

And you are so right, it's a shame that so many people never know the wonders of having a loving family.

Glad to hear that your vacation was so wonderful!! You truly deserved it!

Awww, that's so sweet of you to share your family home with us, Octavius!

That jacuzzi sure looks tempting right about now. My back and shoulders are killing me!

Glad you are back, safe and sound!

And you're right, not all of us have the luxury of being close to our immediate families but I'm very happy that you do!

i love your house esp that spa! :P

i really agree with a lot of what u said. regardless of all the good things of living out of home, home is where we get unconditional love at the end of the day. :)
