My god what a shit week! Honestly i'm just barely holding onto the very thin threads of what is left of my sanity. Let me tell you...., it's not all that easy, but I am trying. What's making it worse is that the lovely government we have, in their infinite wisdom has decided to raise the price of tobacco..., 24% instant increase..., that works out to around $8 on top of the already exorbitant price that they already demand. It's just shit, because I can just bet that my company will claim poverty again when it comes to pay-rises this year.
Honestly I'm just making ends meet right now, and this is just one more kick to the nuts! All the excuses in the world aren't enough to disguise the fact that this is just another blatant revenue grab, and it's really getting me down.
I'm still looking for a better job though, and things are somewhat promising at the moment, even though I have been knocked back a few times, things are still looking up. Hopefully I can get something going soon, because I tell you what..., i'm gonna lose it if I don't.

7 Tactical Suggestions...:
Octavius I thought it was only our silly Goverment that was going down that road - 25% rise in our smokes as from yesterday - if the smoking wasn't going to kill us, the Goverment will.As you say it's just a money grabbing excercise and the sad part is that it is the poorest part of the population that it affects most.
Anyway hope things work out on the job front.
Regards Stef
Hey Man , sorry things are tough for you at the moment. They ( our government took away my smokes totally). Don't feel like the lone ranger , having a tough time myself right now ... hang in there and miss ya. Just letting ya know still around and reading. Lol had to start smoking cigars, they fall under another category under the states laws. Peace Man ....
Quit smoking :P
I hope you find the better job soon though.
*hugs*
Hate that your life is full of shit and hope things get better for you
Stop Smoking and you wont have to worry about the price going up anymore.
I agree: just quit smoking and not only will you not have to worry about the price increase, it will almost like getting a pay raise.
Hi Oct,
Sorry for the lack of comments for a while. I have never smoked so it is hard for me to totally understand this, but I know about extra taxes here in the US. I hope you can quit; it's a lot of money in your pockets. Will the gov pay for a quitting program?
Roger
that's a wink and a nudge from the government telling you to stop smoking!
