Well hey there sailor..., going my way?

I don't know why i am using that title, it just seems to fit my mood somehow..., adventurous. I don't know...

Would be nice though. I mean who doesn't want to be swept off of their feet by a handsome sailor?

On Sunday I took the top off of my jeep and blasted it on the highway..., was a truly fantastic feeling. Now I know why people buy convertibles! To be honest though, it was a bit of a mission to get the fucker off. Took me over an hour! Whoever designed that needs a severe kicking!! Funny thing was it only took about twenty minutes to get it back on. All in all, was worth it.

(Not mine..., forgot to take a pic, but it looks just like this one.)

So anyways, we are on day three, and it really has been a fantastic break. I have gotten so much accomplished. I finally caught up with all my laundry, have written several chapters to my book, changed the oil and filter in the jeep.

Actually that all sounds kinda boring..., but really it's not. Being the homebody I am, I actually rather enjoy it. Plus the weather is shit, and to prove it, here is a pic I just took from my front porch...

As you can see there is cloud where the hills should be! WTF?! It is supposed to be closing in on summer. I am beginning to really dislike this town, honestly the weather is shit!

Ok so here is a giant

Thank You

To both Dave and Just for showing me the love, on their blogs. Really guys you are too kind, but I appreciate it. Also Dan from Goleftatthefork, is having a little work done later in the week..., hopefully he doesn't have an 'Awake' moment. Seriously though, my thoughts are with you mate., and I hope everything goes well.

Well that is it for today, sleep well Wesley, i'll probably kill you in the morning.

PS: If anyone can tell me where that is from, I will be greatly impressed, and you may just get a cookie out of it.

Thank you for Following Kieran! You're very welcome!

Yes, our hills disappear when the weather's bad too. We live halfway up the hill on one side, you see and it's really not very far across. Usually we can see it fine.

Maybe getting the top off the jeep gets quicker the more often you do it. Certainly comforting that you'll only get 90% soaked if you have to put it up quickly because of the rain!

Princess Bride!! And you can keep your metaphorical cookies! I keep winning cookies from you.....and bytes and bits cookies are well, sigh, rather disappointing.... not quite as tasty as the real ones. But, mails being what they are, would cost you some precious coinage to send them..... so as long as they aren't real? This time I wanna mint chocolate cookie.
Thanks! Is well tasty!

I used to have a jeep like that, only it was black. I miss it. It was such a great car.

It sucks about the weather too. We are finally getting over loads of floods over here. They told us it will be snowing now this week. I want the sun back!

Once one a vacation trip I rented a similar looking Jeep. We tried to get the roof down/off but quickly realized we'd NEVER get it back on in time to return the car. No way!

Glad to hear you have great break. for doing (supposedly) boring home work, I know the feeling! It's not that bad after all.

Love
Daniel

Hey Oct,
Nobody guessed that your quote was from Star Trek NG? Sounds like it anyway.

Any boy sweeping me off my feet would do; doesn't have to be a sailor!

My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

You're gonna have to pick one far more obscure than that buddy!

Octavius!

Don't feel bad. I'm a homebody too.

The main thing is that you're getting out and getting things done!

Good for you!

Oh, and were those rain clouds in the distance? I love the rain! Sounds like perfect weather to me!
